Randomly generated epitaph taken from those at the cemetary on the corner of Turkey Hill and Meetinghouse road, the original site of our building and the resting place of many of our founding members:
CHAMBERLAIN, Lydia Ann, daut. of James & Lydia Chamberlain, d. Mar. 5, 1831, Age 4,
"Pleasant, bright transient, pure as morning dew, she sparkled, was exhaled and went to Heaven" Parents and friends delight to frame this sweet memorial to her name"
| Pastor Allen Tomlinson
moved to New Hampshire back in 1988, to become the senior pastor of the
First Congegational Church in Merrimack. He is originally from
Illinois, and had been a pastor for about 10 years in the midwest. He has
degrees from Fort Wayne Bible College, Indiana Wesleyan University, and
Whitefield Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Orthdox Presbytertian
Church denomination, though the First Congregational Church
is independent. He is married to Ann and they have 3 grown children and 10 grandchildren. For relaxation they enjoy their grandchildren, reading out loud together, going for beautiful New England drives, and occasional hiking. The Merrimack church family has become incredibly important to them over the last 21 years. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has proven itself to them all their lives. Both Allen and Ann came to faith at a fairly early age, both were reared in the faith of Jesus Christ and have found God's grace sweeter and more powerful as each year goes by. Dr. Tomlinson is a Teaching Elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church |

| Does God's Word Command
Believers to Join the Visible Church? by Rev. Dr. Allen Tomlinson |
|
![]() |
The Bible knows nothing of a saved person who does not
join
the church. It knows nothing of an unchurched Christianity. It knows
nothing of the church viewing as a Christian those who are refusing to
unite with the visible Body of Christ - the Church. This is seen in
several references in the Gospels, in the Acts of the Apostles
throughout, and in the New Testament epistles. This pamphlet provides
nine arguments from Scripture that God wants believers to become
members of a visible church. Paperback, 11 pages. The pamphlet is free, and may be ordered by sending your request to info @ fccmerrnh.org. |
